PowerPOint Quiz
PowerPoint Quiz
On this page, I have created an interactive PowerPoint Quiz/Review. While PowerPoint is certainly overused, most students are familiar with the format. In this case, the students must navigate through five questions on the water cycle by choosing hyperlinked responses that lets the student know immediately if the answer they’ve chosen was correct or incorrect.
Students read through the questions and answer the questions by choosing one of three answers. If a student answers correctly, then they are directed to a slide that lets them know that they were correct via the hyperlink. They then can click to go to the next slide. If the student answers incorrectly, the hyperlink will take them to a slide that lets them know that they were incorrect then it will direct them back to the question to answer again. This way, in order for the student to move forward, he/she must answer the question correctly. Student continue to move through the PowerPoint in this fashion until it is completed.
This technology can be used in a classroom as a practice quiz or a review for an assignment. In this case it was sent home with students as a practice for an actual quiz. This type of assignment enhances learning because it increases engagement. Traditional studying methods take the form of looking at information and trying to memorize it or think through it. The interactive PowerPoint is more engaging because it is interactive and utilizes technology.
