PadLet
PadletI chose to highlight Padlet because it is a versatile tool that has multiple uses in a classroom. This was used with adults at a professional development for UDL (Universal Design for Learning). I initially set up the Padlet by posting the UDL principles as headers. Then I embedded the link in a document that each student received electronically. The students researched various sections of Universal Design for Learning and then posted their summaries as well as a link to a resource that supported their specific guideline. The end product was a Padlet wall with all nine guidelines summarized with a resource example. This Padlet was then able to be used as a resource for them for UDL.
This resource could have a multitude of uses in a classroom. Teachers can use it to curate resources for students. It can also be used to streamline group work by having a central place to post information or for students to see what other students have completed. In addition, teachers can utilize Padlet as a formative assessment by having students post answers to a question. I've also seen Padlet used as a place for students to post questions (like a message board) that either the teacher or other students can answer. Padlet is a great tool for instruction, collaboration, and assessment.
